It is common for developers to overlook the importance of undertaking a thorough PSI, but getting it right can help you to avoid significant costs and headaches down the line. We have an efficient process that enables us to be extremely thorough, while remaining cost competitive.

New Zealand’s resource management laws assign the liability of resolving contaminated land issues to the current owner, rather than the original polluter. If you’re considering whether to purchase a business or property with potential contamination issues, it is prudent to undertake environmental due diligence before going unconditional.
In doing so, you will have a clear understanding of the cost to resolve any issues that arise, and this can be used to minimising purchase risk by negotiating a lower purchase price or inserting extra conditions into the contract.
Classify
Determine the level of risk and ascertain if it requires remediation or management to enable your project to go ahead. This stage often involves site visits, sampling, and analysis of the results.

If your preliminary site investigation uncovers the need for further testing and inspection, the next stage involves undertaking a detailed site investigation (DSI).
During the DSI stage, we physically visit your site, collect and analyse samples, and use this data to inform our recommendations.
